Masochists?

Do we all have a little bit of masochism ( a taste for suffering) in each of us? Why do I go for things which are beyond my reach, fully knowing that even if I get it ...it cannot be mine? This is not ambition but just stupidity I think. Have you seen that in yourself or others? The kind of sufferring you inflict on yourself...is that just to create self pity? Do I think suffering can make me focus better? Have you ever denied your self certain things till you achieve your target? Atleast there is something to that but what if you are denying yourself the joy of friendship and hapiness so you can stay on the "right" side of the lane? Do these words strike a chord somewhere in your heart???????

This is blog is being written in frustration at denying myself something I crave so I can have a clear conscience.

I toss and turn thinking of you deep into the night,
I look forward to my day hoping you are the first familiar face I sight,
I pick up every call anticipating your voice, I scan my inbox hoping to see your name,
Oh! But you have disappointed me many a time........
Why? Oh why? Should I be this way?
Why? Oh why? Can you not come my way?

This is my first attempt at poetry. Forgive me if it has anyresemblance to none....!
